There had been some speculations about the disagreements between Balaji Telefilms and Jay Productions over their latest show on ZEE TV. Well, all that seems to be in the backburner now as Jay Mehta has confirmed that their latest would be titled Sona Ishq.

Sona Ishq narrates the story of Shahiba, a young and innocent girl from a village in Punjab, who is deserted by her husband on the very day they get wed. Shahiba starts her frantic journey without a clue and she starts to ransack for her husband. Life and her search take her from a small village in Punjab to the magnanimity of London. If Shahiba can find her man or how she would find her is the crux of Sona Ishq.

This is the first time that a central plot of a drama would be based in London. Reports suggest that the shootings at villages near Chandigarh and Patiala have been underway and the unit of Sona Ishq is gearing up to fly to London in June itself. Sources have informed that Sona Ishq will be shot at all the prominent places of tourist attraction and historical importance in London. They just may also shoot a few venues of importance for the upcoming Olympics.

Well, here’s wishing Jay Mehta and his entire team a great trip to the land of the queen and for the viewers, some spectacular montages are in the waiting.
